The mission of The South Carolina Seafood Alliance is to support the State’s seafood industry by growing the production of and enhancing demand for South Carolina seafood products.
The South Carolina Seafood Alliance starts 2020 with questions and some suggestions on how we should approach this New Year to fulfill our commitment to increase production and enhance consumption of local, fresh South Carolina seafood. First we assess our past production and analyze the results in order to make informed decisions on the right direction to accomplish the mission. This website will increase in scope, scale, and effectiveness as we move through the year toward the goal of increasing South Carolina seafood production, resulting in decreasing seafood imports. A dynamic management policy will be instituted and followed to continually tweak our compass in the direction desired by the members and supporters of the South Carolina Seafood Alliance.
